Karndean, made from calcium carbonate, polyvinyl chloride and pigments, has a five-point structure made up of two uPVC backing layers, a photographic HD layer, an embossed uPVC wear layer and a protective polyurethane topcoat to provide greater durability. Designed to be slip-resistant, Karndean flooring withstands water and liquid spillages particularly well.

Although Karndean is very much a vinyl flooring product, it has such incredible popularity in the Southend, Leigh-on-Sea, Hockley, Westcliff-on-Sea and Essex areas because it replicates more expensive surfaces, including engineered wood flooring and tiles, so well. Like all main Karndean suppliers, we understand that homeowners and businesses have different design aspirations. This is why Karndean uses different sizes and formats to create unique ranges.
Different types of Karndean flooring have different wear layers. The thicker this layer is, the more durable it becomes and the more the manufacturer can do with the finish.
This includes the addition of unique embosses, textures and edge bevels.
